Some 4,000 workshops offering training and counseling to couples in all stages of marriage have been held during the first 9 months of last Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2018), head of youth social planning and development office at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs has stated.
“Over 137,000 individuals have participated in the workshops nationwide,” Mehr news agency quoted A’azam Karimi as saying on Monday.
So far, some 429 workshops providing marriage and family skills have been held in cities and towns across the country, she added.
Moreover, holding wedding ceremonies for young couples are among the organization’s plans, she noted.
“Marriage counseling centers have also been expanded to facilitate counselling services for all young couples,” she stated, adding that “this year, we will also financially support media products centering on marriage, divorce and social harm”.
Referring to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with the Ministry of Interior, she said that “we inked the MOU to take steps in line with reducing social harm and divorce in the country.”
Producing content in the field of family and marriage for social media is among our recent plans to be implemented this year, she said, adding, in addition to supporting and strengthening charity associations active in this field.
