IRNA – Iranian female wheelchair basketball team earned quota to participate in 2018 Asian Para Games.
n the course of the Central and East Asia qualifying tournament which is underway in Bangkok, Thailand, Iran with 5 consecutive victories won a ticket to participate in 2018 Para Games.
On the fifth round of the matches, Iran defeated Afghanistan 40-23 to advance to the final match.
Iranian athletes are supposed to play against Thailand in final match on March 10.
Iran, Thailand, Afghanistan and Cambodia have won quotas.
The Iranian squad has so far defeated Thailand, India, Cambodia and Laos.
The Central and East Asia qualifying tournament in Bangkok sees eight men’s teams and six women’s teams competing for their place at the Asian Para Games.
