Tehran, May 12, IRNA – Iran women’s national futsal team on Saturday grabbed trophy of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Futsal Championship after victory over Japan national team in the final.
The Iranian team defeated Japan 5-2 and became champion of the 2018 AFC Women’s Futsal championship for the second consecutive year.
The Iranian Futsal players had a brilliant performance in the second half of the game and astound Japan’s squad.
The first half was scoreless and both sides attempts did not bear fruits, but in the second half both sides opened each other’s goals several time and share of Iranian side was much bigger.
The Iran women’s national futsal team marched into the title challenge of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Women’s Futsal Championship after trouncing Vietnam in the continental tournament.
The 2018 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship started on May 2 and closed on May 12.
