Iran will host two regional workshops of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) on environmental problems and outer space treaty in the near future, the information and communication technology (ICT) minister announced, IRNA reported on Friday.
Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi met UNOOSA Director Simonetta Di Pippo and discussed further cooperation between two parts during his recent trip to Vienna on Friday.
The workshops will deal with drought, flood control and disaster management and forest protection, he announced.
Another workshop will be held on outer space treaty with presence of other countries in Iran, he added.
