Upon a proposal by Vice-President for Legal Affairs Laya Joneidi and approval of President Hassan Rouhani, Iran will set up a National Law Museum.

Forming the new museum is aimed at collecting and preserving the historical and rich works of law, such as legislations, letters, legislative orders, legal procedures, execution of justice and professional legal acts, Joneidi said.

She said that she proposed the plan which was welcomed and approved by President Rouhani.

Noting that preserving the scientific works of privileged figures can definitely help make known the country’s public culture, Joneidi said that once the plan is finalized, a working group of experts will be formed to identify the historical and rich works of law.
