Ziba Azizi as the successful and socially active Baloch women and the world’s 4th top rural lady and the best rural woman in Iran says that the social, cultural and educational activities of Baloch women is leading to reduce Poverty, deprivation and unemployment problems in the Balochestan region.

She made the remarks in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday.

Azizi is a Baloch activist woman from Azizabad village in Qasrqand city, south of Sistan and Baluchestan who this year, the United Nations introduced her as the fourth top rural woman in the world and the best rural woman of Iran.

Azizi is one of the Baloch women active in the Balochestan region which over the past four years, despite negative attitudes, ethnic and religious prejudice regarding women social activities and traditional context has had a significant impact on social, cultural and educational areas and due to her humanitarian activities in the deprived and remote areas of Balochestan and in particular the city of Qasrand, has been in cynosure.

Her collaboration with Imam Ali’s Society and his association with donors and fundraising helped her to double her activities over past two years and provide better services.

Azizi ranked among the world’s best rural women; the title was awarded to Azizi by The Women’s World Summit Foundation (WWSF) which is one of the UN’s advisory bodies in women’s affairs.

In addition to Azizi, women from the countries of Switzerland, Mexico, Nepal, India, Honduras, Colombia and Guatemala are among the other elected women of the WWSF.
