Folk costumes from Iran, Turkey, Syria, and Morocco have been put on display in Katara cultural village in Doha, Qatar, for the very first time.

Iran is showcasing nine of its traditional costumes for women from the regions of Bakhtiari, Luri, Azeri, Khorasani, etc.

The show opened for a week on Friday with the slogan my tradition my identity. It was attended by Qatari cultural dignitaries and ambassadors of participating countries, together with crowds of interested visitors.

Only one of each costume was shown on the first day of the show as previously agreed. The one displayed by Iran came from the Bakhtiari Province. Visitors can see the rest as from the second day.
