TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian basketball player Shadi Abdolvand made history by winning a bronze medal at the skill contest of the 2019 FIBA 3×3 World Cup on Saturday.
Marie-Eve Paget from France won the gold medal in the event and the silver went to Italian Rae Lin D’Alie.
The skills contest is contested by players from the qualified 3×3 national teams of the main tournament. Each team can enter at most a single player for the competition. The contest, which has a time limit of 45 seconds, involves a qualification phase and a knockout round.
The FIBA 3×3 World Cup 2019 is being held in Amsterdam, Netherlands from June 18 to 23.
