Tehran, Dec 10, IRNA – The spokesman of the National Organization for Civil Registration of Iran said on Sunday that Iranian women should get a marriage permit to marry foreign nationals.
‘The good point of the permit is that their children can receive Iranian nationality at the age of eighteen and enjoy all the Iranian services, including free education,’ said Seifollah Aboutorabi.
Aboutorabi said that governor-generals of the provinces have the authority to issue the related permits.
He added that children of Iranian men whose wives are non-Iranian are granted Iranian citizenship at birth, whether born inside or outside Iran.
