An Iranian team stood at first place at the 2018 West Asian Women’s Handball Championship.
The Shahid Chamran team from Larestan, in Fars Province southern Iran, succeeded to defeat Syria 23-8 in Amman, Jordan, in the last game and won the championship title after five consecutive victories on Wednesday, IRNA reported.
Syria and Jordan became second and third respectively.
Jordan, Qatar, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Iran participated in the games which were held in Amman on February 15 to 21.
