Iranian short film ‘Gaze’, directed by Farnoosh Samadi, is set to participate in the 12th edition of the Elles Tournent Film Festival in Belgium.

The 15-minute film is about a woman who witnesses something happening in the bus on her way back from work, but she has to decide whether to reveal it or not, ifilmtv.com wrote.

‘Gaze’ has so far attended a number of internationally famous film festivals and won many awards namely, the Best Film by Audience Choice at the Minimalen Short Film Festival in Norway, the Best Short Film award at the Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico, and an honorable mention at the Zubroffka International Short Film Festival in Poland.

The screenplay for the flick has been the result of collaboration between Samadi and Iranian film director and writer Ali Asgari. In 2018, both writers were selected by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in the US to become members.

The latest edition of the Elles Tournent Film Festival, which is slated for January 23-26, is dedicated to films made by women.
