The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) congratulated Iranian Para archer Zahra Nemati on his 34th birthday.
The Paralympic archer became the first Iranian woman to win gold at either the Olympic or Paralympic Games in 2012.
Nemati competed in both the Olympic and Paralympic Games at Rio 2016, and was also Iran’s flag-bearer at the Olympics.
She won her first gold at the individual recurve W1/W2 in London 2012 Paralympic Games and also claimed the second gold at the same event four years later in Rio de Janeiro.
