Visual artists from Iran have been rather active outside the country these days, and an exhibition of their paintings is being organized in Landesberg, Germany.
Participants are Mitra Kavian, Behnam Kamrani, Mahshid Rahim-Tabrizi, Matisa Kazerouni, Afarin Sajedi, Keivan Asgari, Maneli Manouchehri, Alireza Adam-Bekan, Leila Vismeh, Farnaz Rabieijah, Azadeh Etebarian, Asareh Akkasheh, Elham Yazdanian, Morteza Pour-Hosseini, Leily Rashidi, Roshana Rostami, Sara Ashrafi, Maryam Ashuri, Fereshteh Mohseni, Laleh Hosseini, Negin Nasereni, and Zahra Ghiasi. Paintings by two German artists are also showcased here.
Farnaz Mohammadi who has selected the paintings for the expo told “Khabar Online”: “Modern painting reflects the new conditions that bring the world closer together. Iranian and German art are old and consistent, rich in thought, poetry, and visual characteristics. The present collection sets forth the new social and political hallmarks of our time in its current, complicated twists and turns. Women artists are prominently present in this expo and also in their own country. Their works also delve into individual and peripheral events more tête-à-tête.”
