Iran and Sweden stressed implementing joint MoUs in women-related fields
Iran’s Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, Masoumeh Ebtekar, made the remarks Tuesday in a meeting with Sweden’s envoy to Tehran Helena Sångeland.
During the meeting, she pointed to violence against women and children, and called for urgent measures to remove them.
Iranian Vice President also referred to empowering women in information technology, entrepreneurship, environment and climate change fields.
Meanwhile, Sångeland expressed Sweden’s interest in developing ties with Iran not only in Sweden but in the European Union.
She also pointed to women’s important role in economy, saying women play a major role in Sweden’s economic growth.
